§ 9.3.6. Definitions.

  • Building permit means that development permit issued by the Larimer County Building Department or any other county office before any building or construction activity can be initiated on a parcel of land.

    Community park land means land owned or operated by or on behalf of Larimer County or the participating local governments and dedicated or used for the purpose of neighborhood or community parks. Neighborhood or community parks are parcels of land used for active recreation activities, ranging in size up to about 120 acres and serving up to several neighborhoods but typically not serving an entire community or region with specialized facilities.

    Fee administrator means the person designated by the county administrator to be the primary person responsible for the administration of this regulation.

    Growth management area (GMA) means the unincorporated area around a municipality that is identified in an intergovernmental agreement between the municipality and Larimer County as an area that will eventually become part of the municipality. For the purposes of this regulation, the Estes Park GMA will be the area within the boundaries of the Estes Park Recreation District.

    Participating local governments means the municipalities of Fort Collins, Loveland and Berthoud.

    Person means an individual, corporation, governmental agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, two or more persons having a joint or common interest, or any other entity.

    Single-family equivalent (SFE) means the demand for community park lands represented by a single-family detached dwelling. A single-family detached dwelling unit represents one SFE, while the number of SFEs for other housing types is the ratio of the average household size of the housing type to the average household size of single-family detached dwelling units.
